At Big Bite Studios, we believe you’re never too old to play. Our wares are designed to spark joy, celebrate colour and bring a little nostalgia to the everyday. Think dopamine décor for grown-ups - fun, quirky and made to make you smile.
How It Started
Big Bite Studios was born from a love of play and a desire to make everyday life feel brighter. Before launching the studio, our founder Seonaidh Murphy built a career across fashion, textiles, design and marketing - from lecturing in fashion and design, to working as a buyer and product designer, and managing creative marketing for leading hospitality and lifestyle brands.
Her background spans trend forecasting, textile design, illustration and creative marketing, all of which now shape the unique, playful aesthetic behind Big Bite Studios.
Her journey around the world introduced her to small, family-run makers experimenting with sustainable materials and ethical practices. Inspired by their courage and creativity, she began collaborating with them to bring playful, consciously designed products to life.
What started as a handful of colourful, nostalgic designs has grown into a buzzing Melbourne studio and retail space, where Seonaidh and her team design, make and share a growing collection of dopamine décor. It’s a place filled with sketches, clay, textiles, laughter — and thebelief that the everyday should feel anything but ordinary.

Every Big Bite Studios piece begins here in Melbourne, where creativity and care go hand in hand. Many of our ceramics and textiles are handmade in-house, while our totes and bags are printed locally. We also collaborate with a small circle of family-run makers who share our passion for thoughtful, small-batch production.
Our Studio & Workshops
Our studio is more than a place to make — it’s a place to play. From shaping clay to sketching bold new prints, this is where the magic happens. Visitors can step inside to see our process unfold, browse our retail space, or roll up their sleeves in one of our workshops to create their own piece of dopamine décor.
