2 Hour Clay Workshop in Melbourne | Beginners Welcome
Need a reason to log off and use your hands?
Make It by Hand is our weekly handbuilding ceramics class in Melbourne designed as a space to slow down, get offline and reconnect with making.
No screens. No pressure. Just clay, conversation and a table full of tools.
Each week we create something different. Projects rotate and may include:
• Incense holders
• Sculptural monsters
• Trinket dishes
• Candelabras
• Ceramic earrings
• Mugs
• Plates
• Snack bowls
• Paint palettes
• Functional or decorative small objects
Because the project changes weekly, you can return again and again to build your skills and your collection.
Hosted at our Abbotsford studio, this relaxed clay workshop is open to beginners, regular makers, adults and creative kids.
What You’ll Learn
Guided by our ceramic artists, you’ll explore:
• Core handbuilding techniques including pinching, coiling and slab building
• How to shape functional and sculptural ceramic objects
• Surface decoration and texture techniques
• Designing through material play
Each session focuses on one form, allowing you to experiment with new ideas while developing confidence with clay.
